ABOUT

Mission:

Vision:

To encourage arts participation so that more people can experience the beneficial effects of art.

To contribute constructively to the well-being of people in local communities.

'I believe that anyone can benefit from getting involved in art activities. There is plenty of research these days that highlights the different ways that experiencing and participating in the arts can improve health outcomes and contribute to our sense of well-being, as well as keeping our minds active for longer in life.

Through my own art practice I have experienced the difference that it can make, especially in trying to find balance in your life. Art has helped me through the most difficult times in my life, but moreover the actual process of creating art brought an overall sense of peace and happiness to my life. Instead of falling apart I was growing and thriving. There is a meditative quality to the act of creating art, a shift in the way that you observe the world around you, a sense of connection... life feels richer and more meaningful.

This is the kind of experience that I want to facilitate through the creative process'.
